
Kit Ching Ng did not let her dislike of math and lack of knowledge of the stock market stand in the way of making a good income and so when an opportunity at Dean Witter presented itself in 1982, Kit Ching Ng ran with it. "I was aware of the many benefits to be gained from a career in the financial industry and I figured if I worked hard and tried my best, eventually I would become great at what I did," she said. And that's exactly what has happened. Kit Ching Ng has been steadily climbing the ladder at Morgan Stanley Smith Barney and these days you can find her at the New York City offices of the financial giant, always on point and ready for action.
As a member of the growing group of women in financial services Kit Ching Ng would like to see more women join the industry. "I definitely think that being a Financial Advisor is a great job for women—just because the industry does not have enough representation from women," she said. "This job may be perceived as a man's job but it is certainly not a man's job; it is a job that is great for anyone who has the drive and is willing to work hard."
